Job Description Landscape Worker/Truck Driver Split, 7am-3:30pm, working one weekend day Rate - 26.17 Provide skilled maintenance of exterior campus landscape to include lawns, gardens, flower beds, hedges, walkways, plazas, streets and all associated components such as trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, fences, walls, curbs, etc. Duties, functions and responsibilities include: mow lawns, string trim, weed, rake leaves, hand-pick loose trash, repair fences, gates and walks; clean out drainage ditches and culverts. Assist with snow removal operations. Duties, functions and responsibilities include: hand shoveling stairs and walkways, spreading ice melt products. Ability to operate equipment such as a skid steer track machine, backhoe, and/or forklift is desirable. Support the University with office moves and furniture moves, special event and function setups. Duties include moving furniture, setting up chairs and tables, moving equipment, transporting equipment/boxes from campus to/from warehouse, and other duties as assigned. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, reach with hands and arms, understand directions and communicate with coworkers; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; occasionally work near moving mechanical parts; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
